WHEN THE BOOKSHOP CLOSES… THE CHARACTERS COME TO LIFE!
Bay Area Stage invites young performers ages 7–17 to our Fall 2026
Children’s Theatre Workshop:
THE ENCHANTED BOOKSHOP by Todd Wallinger
At night, the used bookstore A Likely Story becomes a magical place where
famous storybook characters come alive!
Dorothy Gale, Robin Hood, Pollyanna, Sherlock Holmes, Heidi and Tom Sawyer
want to help save their beloved bookshop—but there’s one big rule: they can
NEVER be seen by human eyes!
When two smugglers arrive searching for a stolen necklace hidden inside a book,
our literary heroes have a decision to make: stay hidden…or risk everything to
save the shop!
